As part of our club development we are adding a ladies team this season. There has already been some interest, so Eddie has said he will help with a weekly session in a (quiet) corner of the ground, on Thursdays while the juniors are doing their training.
Several of the older girls have said that they would be more than happy to help the ladies on their way and just have a bit of fun.
Please pass on this message and give Eddie feedback and suggestions. The children will love to see their mums having a go!
Contact Eddie Green for further details.

Melton St Audrys CC and Melton Achilles YCC have two reasons to celebrate in the run-up to the new season. Firstly, the club has just received its Clubmark certificate from the England and Wales Cricket Board. Clubmark is the ECB’s accreditation scheme for clubs with junior sections. Clubs are required to meet minimum standards across 4 key areas: Duty of Care and Safeguarding Children; the Cricket Programme offered by the Club; Knowing your Club and its Community – One Game; and Club Management.
The second piece of good news is a generous funding award from Suffolk Coastal District Council, which will be invested in new equipment and coaching for the youths.
With brand new training facilities already opened last season, the youth section is enjoying unprecedented growth. The club welcomes new players of all abilities including absolute beginners, both girls and boys, aged 6-18.
