MAYCC's indoor winter training programme kicks off on Wednesday 8th January, with all of our youth players catered for in one of 7 groups.

Groups are as follows:

Mondays 5.30-6.30pm from 13/1 at Farlingaye: Girls U9s / U11s (up to year 6)

Mondays 7pm-8pm from 27/1 at Woodbridge School: Girls Y9+ (hard ball) and Ladies

Wednesdays 5.45-6.45pm from 15/1 at Farlingaye: Boys U9s (up to year 4)

Wednesdays 7-8pm from 8/1 at Woodbridge School: Girls U13s (Y7 & 8, hard ball) and Girls U14s (Y8 & 9, soft ball)

Thursdays 6-7pm from 9/1 at Woodbridge School: Boys U13s (Y7 & 8)

Fridays 6-7pm from 10/1 at Woodbridge School: Boys U11s (Y5 & 6)

Fridays 7-8pm from 10/1 at Woodbridge School: Boys U15s+ (Y9+)

After the Easter holidays, training for all groups will continue outdoors at the club on a Thursday (times tbc).

Melton's U13 girls ran out winners at the Lady Taverners county tournament at Woolpit CC last Friday 2nd June.

The girls won all 5 of their matches, with disciplined bowling, tight fielding and some big hitting with the bat featuring in all games.  Above all, excellent team spirit and good performances all through the side made them hard to beat.

Amongst the many highlights of the day were Olivia G's 4 wickets in 4 balls (all bowled) and Scarlett's inspired wicket keeping on her first ever outing behind the stumps!

Outdoor training for all of our youth squads starts this Thursday, 20th April.

By now all registered players should have been told which squad they are in, if not please contact head coach Eddie Green.

Our U13 Girls put on a valiant performance but were just edged out by 12 runs at Copdock yesterday (Thurs 21st May). The scores were:

Copdock 84 for 5 (Imogen Sidhu 2 for 7 off 3 overs, and two direct hit run outs)

Melton Achilles 72 for 2 (Imogen Green 24)
